Senior Action In Athlone & Mullahoran
Breaffy v Cuchulainn — Senior Women
Breaffy have made their usual strong start in Senior Women and already look like retaining the championship. Cuchulainn will bring plenty of fight, but Breaffy’s scoring threat and experience should give them the edge.
Erne Eagles v Glynn Barntown — Senior Women
This could be one of the tighter Senior Women games of the day. Erne Eagles will fancy their chances in Mullahoran, but Glynn Barntown have enough quality and composure to edge a close one.
Breaffy v Cuchulainn — Senior Men
Breaffy sit top of the Senior Men table and look very settled already. Their ability to score heavily while staying organised in the field makes them difficult to oppose. They have had big wins versus Carrick and Galway.
Cuchulainn will need a huge performance to drag this into a contest, but Breaffy look the safer call.
Erne Eagles v Glynn Barntown — Senior Men
This has the feel of a proper Senior Men battle. Glynn Barntown are always dangerous, but Erne Eagles have opened well and may have enough momentum to make home advantage count.
Breaffy v Cuchulainn — Senior Mixed
Breaffy have started Senior Mixed in ruthless fashion and already look like a side with serious championship intentions. Cuchulainn will battle, but Breaffy’s balance across the plate gives them the advantage.
Erne Eagles v Glynn Barntown — Senior Mixed
Another excellent Senior Mixed fixture. Erne Eagles will make this awkward, but Glynn Barntown’s structure and consistency may be enough to get them over the line.
St. Senan’s Face A Huge Day In Tymon Park
Dublin Metropolitans v St. Senan’s — Intermediate Men
St. Senan’s begin a demanding day with a tricky Intermediate Men fixture against Dublin Metropolitans. The Mets will be competitive in Tymon Park, but St. Senan’s look capable of taking the opener.
St. Clare’s v St. Senan’s — Intermediate Men
This may be the tougher assignment for St. Senan’s. St. Clare’s should arrive fresher and that could matter as the game goes on. A close contest, but St. Clare’s get the nod.
St. Clare’s v St. Senan’s — Intermediate Mixed B
By the time this one begins, tired legs may be a real factor. Still, St. Senan’s have the depth to finish the day strongly and this could be a valuable Mixed win if they manage the workload well.
Kilmeena Look For A Response In Emo
Emo v Naomh Pól — Junior Mixed C
Emo begin their day with Junior Mixed C action against Naomh Pól. With home advantage and a settled group, they look well placed to pick up the win.
Emo v Kilmeena — Intermediate Men
Kilmeena badly need a response and this trip to Emo feels like an important early-season test. Emo will not make life easy at home, but Kilmeena have enough firepower to get their campaign moving.
Junior Fixtures Spread Across The Country
Athenry v St. Kieran’s — Junior Women A
Athenry will be eager to make home advantage count in Junior Women A. St. Kieran’s should test them, but Athenry look the stronger pick.
Kilmore v Carrickmacross Emmets — Junior Women B
Kilmore and Carrickmacross meet in the first part of a double-header. Carrickmacross will be competitive, but Kilmore’s home setting and organisation should give them the advantage.
Kilmore v Carrickmacross Emmets — Junior Mixed B
The second Kilmore-Carrickmacross meeting of the day could be just as tight, but Kilmore again look the stronger call. The would be everyone’s early favourites to win the 2026 All Ireland.
Castletown Liam Mellows v Kilanerin Ballyfad — Junior Women C
Castletown Liam Mellows have home advantage and will look to make that count early. Kilanerin Ballyfad will need a strong start, but Castletown get the vote.
Oulart The Ballagh v Leighlinbridge — Junior Mixed C
Leighlinbridge face the first of two Junior Mixed C games and will know this is a big chance to build serious momentum. Oulart The Ballagh will test them, but Leighlinbridge are tipped to edge it.
Leighlinbridge v Na Fianna — Junior Mixed C
The turnaround will be the challenge for Leighlinbridge, but if they manage the day properly, they have enough quality to complete a strong Sunday.
Galway City Rapparees v Sporting Limerick — Junior Men A
One of the headline Junior fixtures takes place in Galway, where Galway City Rapparees welcome Sporting Limerick.
Rapparees will hope for a strong start, but Sporting Limerick are dangerous and will travel west believing they can cause problems. Sporting Limerick won this fixture last season. Expect energy, hard hitting and a few nervous innings along the way. Rapparees would be fancied to have a big year.
Galway get the vote, but this could be one of the higher quality games of the day.
Inniskeen Target Two Results In Drumhowan
Drumhowan v Inniskeen Grattans — Junior Women B
Inniskeen Grattans begin their day in Junior Women B against Drumhowan. The hosts will make this awkward, but Inniskeen’s recent progress gives them the edge.
Elphin v Inniskeen Grattans — Junior Mixed B
Inniskeen then return for Junior Mixed B action against Elphin. Two games in quick succession is never simple, but they have enough squad depth to leave Drumhowan with another positive result.
