Cavan run second Go Games blitzz
Cavan Runs Another Successful Go Games Blitz
The afternoon may have brought grey skies and rain, but spirits remained high in Mullahoran on Saturday 6th June as Cavan hosted its second Go Games for Rounders blitz of the year.

Getting to grips with it.
Young players from across the county braved the elements to enjoy an action-packed day of Rounders, proving that a little rain is no match for the excitement of the game. The Go Games format provided the perfect opportunity for children to learn new skills, build confidence and experience the fun of Rounders in a positive and inclusive environment.

Fantastic atmosphere
Players from Mullahoran GFC, Lacken GFC, Lavey GFC, Ballyhaise GFC, Gowna GFC and Ballinagh GFC all took part, with every club contributing to a fantastic atmosphere. There were brilliant catches, determined batting displays and plenty of enthusiastic support from teammates and spectators alike throughout the afternoon.
“To see kids coming out and enjoying the game in this weather is amazing,” remarked Amanda Fitzsimmons, Cavan Go Games for Rounders Champion. “The smiles on their faces tell you everything you need to know. The players threw themselves into every game and it was fantastic to see so many clubs represented.”
As Go Games for Rounders continues to grow across the county, more and more young players are discovering the enjoyment of one of the GAA’s most accessible and exciting sports.
