Championship week 8

In game week 8, Michael Glaveys and Limekiln faced each other in Ladies and Mixed. A very close encounter in the Ladies, with Michael Glaveys leading 7-2 after the second innings. Due to some fine fielding from Roscommon's Catcher, Linda Rogan and SS, Anna Gallagher. However, the Dub's didn't give up, clawing back to make it a draw game 9-9, heading into the fifth. Smartly placed hits from Leinster's, Emma Hudson and Susan Eagers, would help Limekiln take the lead and win the game 11-10. The above mentioned were also the only players never put out, with Emma scoring the most Rounders. Connaught's, Maria Coll was named 'Man of the Match' for her efforts on third base.

The Mixed game didn't bring as much excitement. Limekiln kept their opposition scoreless for the first two innings, scoring 15 also.
