Championship week 10

Our final game week started on Tuesday the 1st of August when Dublin side Na Fianna traveled to McGrath park for the last Championship mixed game. Bagenalstwon started as they meant to go on with hard hitting and great fielding only allowing 2 runs home for the 5 innings and scoring 22. Stand out player was Carlow's Edwina who had an impressive 8 outs on first base securing her team a semi-final spot.

The next day we had our last Ladies match, with Limekiln hosting St.Croans. The Dubs Emma Hudson hit a launcher of a ball to start the game of, making 3rd base and the rest of her team followed suit scoring an impressive 31 runs in 2 innings this was the undoing of Croans. Final score 31-7, special mention to Roscommons Sheila Madden who impressed everyone at pitching for the second time ever.

Saturday the 5th was our last day of the 2017 championship, and it was a replay from 2016 Men's final. The Heath hosted Carrickmacross. A very tense game that went  back and forth for the 5 at bats with Monaghan taking the win 13-11.

On the bank holiday Sunday, 36 senior & youth players traveled to the grandest stage of them all to showcase what GAA Rounders is all about, during half time of the Minor Men's game in Croke Park.

We now set our sights on the 13th of August for our Senior Men, Ladies & Mixed Semi-Finals in Leo Casey park Ballymahon. We wish all Clubs and competitors the very best of luck.
